About the event

Join us at the Lakewood Memorial Library for a fun and informative presentation on vernal pools and the wildlife that emerges in the spring.

Presenters:

• Twan Leenders from the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will share insights about these unique seasonal habitats.

• Chris Duckett from Wild Creatures will introduce local species that thrive in vernal pools.

Twan and Chris will discuss the importance of vernal pools in our local ecosystem and highlight the species you may encounter in our area as they emerge this spring.

This program is designed for adults, but younger attendees with a strong interest in biology are also welcome. The presentation will last approximately one hour.
