About the event
Edit 2/21/24: With little to no snow at the preserve, this event will be a guided nature walk and campfire gathering only (no snowshoes).
Join us for a fun winter walk/snowshoe and campfire gathering under the Snow Moon at our Cassadaga Creek Wetland Preserve on Saturday, February 24th! We’ll gather at the preserve at 5:30 pm and start the walk/snowshoe at 6:00 pm. Attendees are also welcome to opt to remain by the campfire and socialize during the walk time.
After the walk, all are invited to stay and warm up by the fire and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, s’mores, and good company! Attendees are welcome to bring their own beverage and a snack or snack to pass if desired as well as a chair for sitting around the fire.
The preserve is located at 3770 Bloomer Road in Sinclairville, off County Route 380 between Harvey Road and South Stockton-Cassadaga Road (County Route 71). GPS coordinates for the preserve are 42°14'37.2"N 79°18'31.0"W. Directions can also be found at chautauquawatershed.org/preserves. Please note that the preserve is not accessible from the Sinclair Road/Route 60 side.
