Aquatic Invasive Species Survey #11

Join us for our next aquatic invasive species survey on Thursday, September 12th at 1pm at McCrea Point/Celoron and help us keep Chautauqua Lake healthy! (Please note the location has been changed from Prendergast Bay to McCrea Point/Celoron). This will be the first of two late-season water chestnut surveys. 

This summer, our staff and volunteers are once again conducting aquatic invasive species (AIS) surveys and monitoring at various locations  around Chautauqua Lake and, if any are found, reporting them to iMapInvasives and then carefully removing and disposing of them.

If you are available to volunteer for this (or any other AIS survey), please RSVP to ais@chautauquawatershed.org with your name, contact info, and date/s of the survey/s you’d like to participate in. Though participation is free, registration helps us know how many people we can expect to have on hand and better “map out” our surveys. (Please note that participants will need to bring his/her own kayak or canoe and life jacket.)
