The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization located in Chautauqua County, NY.  With a focus on land conservation and watershed education, the CWC has been dedicated to preserving and enhancing the water quality, scenic beauty and ecological health of the lakes, streams, wetlands and watersheds of the Chautauqua region since 1990.

We work with residents, landowners, landscapers, developers, contractors, public officials, governmental entities and other organizations to promote best land management practices and to preserve and restore the waterways and watersheds of the Chautauqua region.  To date, we have led efforts resulting in the conservation of more than 1,000 acres of land across Chautauqua County and 2 miles of shoreline around Chautauqua Lake and its outlet!
